I am just a high school
student, who fascinating about gaming. Gaming may sound like the worst way of
spending your time for people especially for teachers and parents.
I played game a lot,
even now I still played a lot. My friends and teachers always thought I study
at home a lot to keep my grades but I didn’t because I don’t like to study
much.
Studying sounds like
a pain to me so I usually played game, but it’s not like I didn’t study. So
here are 7 tips about how I keep my grades while spending most of my time on
gaming.
·
Tip #1:
Listening:
Listening is very
important but you also need commitment. For example: If you learn English you
should listen as much as possible. You can learn to read it but you should make
listening as your priority.
You should try to
listen to teachers when they tried to explain to you and shouldn’t talk too
much. You can talk after the explanations
and that leads to tip #2.
·
Tip #2:
Asking Questions:
For me, I think it is
best to think about the questions yourself first. Try to think about it first, “Why
is it like that?, How is it possible?”. Then you can ask your teachers to get
more ideas or correct your misunderstanding.
Asking your teachers
is important, so throw away your prides. Don’t be hesitant to ask about it or
embarrass about it. If someone laughed at you, you can ask them can they answer
the questions. They can’t know it all the time.
·
Tip #3:
Note Making:
For me, I don’t recommend
copying notes from your teachers but I want you to create notes from your
understanding. Try to describe about what you learned from your class.
I don’t usually study
at home, so I usually make notes during break times. You should try to write
the explanations and describe it in details as much as possible in your own
words in order for you to check later and maybe you can find what you missing
and ask your teachers later.
·
Tip #4:
Manage your time:
It’s easy, don’t worry.
You can just manage your time like this:
1.
At school, you study.
2.
At home, you can do anything you want.
That’s all you need to do. Just make it
more serious at school. Don’t messing around like talking to friends during
teacher explanations. Just to make it clear.
·
Tip #5: Don’t
Care About Mistakes:
Most of you might be used
to this saying, “Don’t make mistakes or you will be in trouble.”. Mistakes
might sound bad to a lot of people but don’t care too much about it.
You can make your
mistakes as your experience and try to prevent that from happening again. Don’t
let it get you down, just learn from it and move on with your everyday
lifestyles.
·
Tip #6: Explaining:
You should try
explaining your understanding to your friends, family or could be anyone you
can explain it to. You can use your notes to explain it and try to fill as much
details as possible.
The reason why you
should explain is that you can sometime know what you are missing or they can tell
you to improve your explanations. Then you can work on your notes again.
·
Tip #7: At
Home:
When you are home, do
anything you want, but try switching between the activities that you do like
switching to games, walking or maybe you can study a little bit. Don’t study
all the time.
Why?
You know what most of
you might be spending 4 to 8 hours studying at school, so why don’t you rest
something. You should enjoy what you want to do and sometime you can try to
make use of it.
